The research work of the DIKT focuses on the interaction between companies and the media. Here, under the direction of Dr. Nikolai Behr analyzed current scenarios and measured the media impact as well as public opinion in correlation to it. The team around Dr. Behr is concerned with the research of standardized processes and their mechanisms. In addition, innovative solutions are analyzed and new communication options are explored in order to increase the impact of messages and to optimally meet the needs of the recipients (media). This research work is the basis of the trainings that the DIKT carries out by its trainers.

In addition, the scientific team ensures a constant qualification of the media trainers. The latest findings and research results are communicated to the trainers. These approaches are further developed in internal training and refined for practical use. Thus, the scientific work ensures that the customers of the DIKT are constantly trained with state-of-the-art methods for the latest media requirements.

The scientific competence and the applicability of the methodologies are constantly reviewed by the advisory board of the DIKT. The Advisory Council also provides further scientific and practice-oriented input for the work of the DIKT. Many trainers of the DIKT are also lecturers at international universities.
